I even attempted to decorate this little mini cake to go on the cake stand. I definitely need some practice and I think the decorating tip was a little too wide, since the ruffles turned out super thick. But not bad for my first try.
After a trip to the city and a much needed visit to Micheals, I made some wooden cake stands. Super easy to make you just need some wood glue, spray paint and a little time. The pieces are from Michaels and just wooden plaques and wooden candle stick holders. I glued the pieces together and left them overnight. I attempted to spray paint them outside but with the temperature below zero the spray paint didn't look great. So I had to wait a few weeks for the weather to warm up and a little sanding later and they turned out great.
